I am Clare Bullock Boyd, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over ten years of experience in counseling and therapy. I am interested in accompanying people in their quest to heal, solve problems, overcome challenges and make changes in their lives. I work by deeply listening to each person and witnessing with compassion their struggles and triumphs.
Whether you are struggling with emotional anguish, working to heal from trauma, experiencing extreme states or are seeking personal development and growth, I take a strength -based approach to therapy. We will work together to form a trusting relationship within which to process difficulty, understand your struggles in a new way, regain connection within yourself, your body, your relationships and create meaning to assist you in moving forward.
I did my clinical training at Smith College School for Social Work. I am trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Psychosis, Trauma- Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), and Attachment, Regulation and Competency (ARC) for the treatment of complex developmental trauma.
