Getting to know Alyse Mader of Eden’s Way

CLINIC: What is the story of your business?

Alyse Mader: I opened Eden’s Way LLC in 2019 and I began my connection with CLINIC in March of this year! YAY!

I started Eden’s Way knowing that because of the modalities I had learned, helped me on my healing journey so much, I felt called to share them with others. I have always practiced in Enfield, CT or via zoom from my home office but it has been exciting joining CLINIC and being surrounded by a community of talented practitioners!

What is your specialty, within your discipline?

Within somatic hypnotherapy and sound healing as well as vocal alchemy coaching, I specialize in ultimately helping people feel safe, comfortable and confident in their own bodies and minds again. Many of the clients I work with have experienced some sort of trauma throughout their lives. I am a trauma informed practitioner that helps each person feel as nurtured as possible during our sessions!

Do you work other approaches into your sessions?

The approach that I take with my clients is very individual. I have many modalities that I have under my belt and it all depends on where the client leads me. My modalities include somatic hypnotherapy, sound healing, neurolinguistic programming, time line therapy, non-violent communication and internal family systems therapy. Unless you have a basic understanding of these modalities, it can be tricky to explain exactly what goes on during a session. I’ve had clients describe it as “trippy, relaxing, deep, elevated therapy”.

My practice is unique as it tends to take shape in the way the client truly needs. I am an intuitive practitioner that uses my modalities in conjunction with my gifts of energy reading and mediumship to lead me to the next step of what the client needs.

What education do you have in your modality?

I have been helping people with my gifts of voice and energy from a very young age but I studied musical theater in NYC in 2008 and became a vocal coach for some time. After experiencing chronic illness for some time though, hypnotherapy and neurolinguistic programming was what I shifted to studying in 2018. In 2023, I began marrying my skills with sound/singing with all of my other therapeutic modalities to create an experience that I have been told by clients is very unique. To this day I continue to take courses to sharpen all of my skills as well as daily use of my modalities with clients, family and friends.

What moved you to learn your modality?

What moved me to learn all of the modalities that I have was my daughter. After her birth I experienced severe postpartum depression, anxiety and rage (I already had a history my entire childhood of anxiety, depression and other chronic illness) as well as dealing with chronic Lyme disease. I knew I didn’t want to continue on the way that I was because I wanted to be a mom that Eden felt safe and nurtured by. At the time, I wasn’t sure I’d ever get to that point. I was grateful that in 2017 I started studying regenerative detoxification and shortly after that, hypnotherapy among all of the other modalities I’ve studied.

What do you like best about the work you do?

What I love most about my work is how versatile it is. It meets all people where they are at and helps them step into being their authentically magical selves!

Whom do you most like to work with?

The clients I love working the most with are those that have an eagerness and desire to shift their lives in an amazing way. The people that choose to take radical responsibility for their feelings and needs tend to be the individuals that see amazing results!

What do you like best about your business?

What I love most about my business has been watching it shift, morph and transform into whatever it’s meant to be. Because I have a lot of different facets to my practice, I enjoy the dance of which step to take next in order to help as many people as possible!

What is something about your work that might surprise people?

Something about my work that might surprise people is that it has helped chronic aches in people disappear. Of course, everyone's experience is different but I will share the most recent testimonial from a beloved client: “Alyse has shown me how to communicate better in my relationship,  open up about my feelings and how to meditate to release frustration.  I'm particularly loving the sound healing, it puts me in a place where I feel like I'm floating on a cloud. She also took pain out of my back, 3 weeks later it's still gone! Thank you Alyse for all your help, I couldn't do it with out you!! ~Sheri

What is a fun fact about you that might surprise people?

A fun fact about me is that in the midst of all of my education and certifications, I ran a small juicing company, was a nanny, a dog groomer and a veterinary assistant! I also love to do videography and edit videos!

What’s on your bucket list?

I would love to travel around in a little camper van one day and see lots of the US and even bring it to Europe! Eco-village living is also a desire!

What is one of your favorite quotes?

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God (Creator, Source, Etc.) Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” ~Marianne Williamson
