<image:title>Acupuncture and Chinese medicine - What is acupuncture and Chinese medicine?</image:title>
<image:caption>Chinese medicine is a whole-person healing modality that has been in continuous practice for over 2000 years. Although it is commonly referred to in the US as ‘acupuncture’, acupuncture is merely one of the most widely-used of many treatments based on the Chinese medical theoretical system. These other treatments include Chinese herbal therapy, Shiatsu or Tui Na bodywork, acupuressure, moxibustion, cupping, Gua Sha, dietary and lifestyle advice, and various forms of movement therapy like Qi Gong or Tai Chi. This tradition regards human beings as complex energetic systems, from which spring both the physical body and the mind and spirit-- so diseases and disorders of any one of these might affect any of the others, and treatment of any of these might influence symptoms of any of the others. Chinese medicine addresses physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual diseases and disorders by encouraging the patient’s energetic systems to balance the production and flow of qi (roughly, the energy or life-force), blood, and essence, and strengthening the systems to withstand the influence of external pernicious influences.</image:caption>

<image:title>Acupuncture and Chinese medicine - What can I expect from a treatment? What do I need to do to prepare for it?</image:title>
<image:caption>During an initial acupuncture treatment, the licensed acupuncturist will ask you about your chief complaint, as well as your health history and general health. The acupuncture is performed on a massage table, and you will usually remain fully-dressed; make sure your clothing will allow access to your legs to above the knee and your arms to your elbows. Most patients feel very little needle sensation, though other sensations are often experienced-- most of which patients experience as pleasant and interesting. You will typically be left to rest with the needles in for 20-30 minutes. Other modalities, including bodywork, moxibustion, cupping, etc., may be used as well, and you can also be evaluated for herbal treatment during the same session. You should leave feeling relaxed and energized, although some patients report some fatigue after their first session. Group or community-style acupuncture is performed in a larger space with several other patients present. The interview and treatment are abbreviated, but the treatments are still very effective. Points on the head, arms and legs below the elbows and knees, and hands and feet are employed, so clothes can remain on and in-place. For more on community-style acupuncture, see this write-up. Shiatsu treatments begin with a brief interview about goals and symptoms, followed by a diagnosis made with abdominal palpation. The bodywork is performed on a massage table or on a cushioned mat on the floor. Patients should wear stretchy, soft, comfortable clothing, like sweats or yoga clothes, which fully cover them, including clean socks. None of these treatments are expected to fully resolve your problem during one session, though we aim to have you feel better each time. Your prognosis and treatment plan will vary by what issue you’re trying to address, how severe it is, how long you’ve had it, and your age and general health. <image:title>Reiki - What is Reiki?</image:title>
<image:caption>Reiki, an alternative therapy commonly referred to as energy healing, is a relaxation technique that has been reported to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being. It originated in Japan and involves the transfer of what’s known as universal life energy (prana, chi) through a trained and certified practitioner, who serves as a channel. The practitioner will assess, and then clear and balance each chakra (“chaa-kruh,” pronounced with the “ch” sound like in the word “chess”), a Sanskrit word that refers to the main energy centers/energy wheels of the body. Reiki is usually administered on a massage table in a quiet, peaceful setting to a fully clothed individual. If lying down is uncomfortable or challenging for some clients, sitting upright in a chair is also possible. Light, non-invasive touch or no touch at all may be involved, based on the client’s preferences. Aromatherapy and sound healing instruments may also be used, based on the client’s preferences. Sound healing involves the use of vibrations from various musical instruments (drums, singing bowls, tuning forks, etc.) to promote relaxation in the mind and body. Reiki is not intended for use in diagnosing, treating, or preventing dis-ease.</image:caption>

<image:title>Reiki - What can I expect from a reiki session? What do I need to do to prepare for it?</image:title>
<image:caption>Before the session, reserve space in your schedule for yourself so that you are not rushing to another commitment right away. Wear loose, comfortable clothes to the session. Avoid caffeine, smoking, alcohol, large meals before the session. Take time to share with the practitioner about any injuries, scars, sensitivities, and specific needs. The practitioner will walk you through a brief client history and consent form during your first visit. During the session, the practitioner will move her hands around you using light, non-invasive touch and/or hovering above the physical body. You may experience sensations in your body such as heat or tingling, visualize colors or images, or notice old memories appear/resurface. Emotional release may also come up through crying/tearfulness or laughing. Some people fall asleep or enter a sleep-like state and experience deep relaxation. You are encouraged to keep an open mind and open heart, as people’s first time experiencing reiki can range from subtle/uneventful to intense. Don’t put expectations on yourself or force yourself to relax; allow the reiki to relax you. After the session, you may feel refreshed and energized, becoming more grounded and focused; however, you may also feel more tired in the evening than usual, an indication of the body’s natural healing response. Pay attention to what your body needs and prioritize rest and sleep as much as possible. If certain thoughts or memories repeat themselves, consider journaling or meditating on them without judgment. In order for buried emotional/mental/spiritual wounds to heal, they must first come to the surface and this often feels unfamiliar and uncomfortable for most people. For further insight or guidance, always feel free to contact the reiki practitioner with any questions or comments as you move through your process. Sherri Huang practices Reiki at CLINIC Fridays 3- 9pm. Darlene Labine offers Reiki, along with therapeutic massage and various adjuncts, at CLINIC Wednesdays and Thursdays 3- 9pm, and Fridays and Saturdays 9am- 3pm.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Massage therapy involves the manipulation of muscle and other soft tissues of the body, for general relaxation or specific therapeutic purposes. Massage techniques can vary widely, for example: pressure can be applied with smooth, gliding strokes of the practitioner’s hands or forearms, while fingers and elbows can be utilized for static pressure or concentrated friction. The amount of pressure that a massage therapist uses can range from very gentle to quite deep. A Licensed Massage Therapist will tailor their treatments to each client’s individual needs and goals.</image:caption>

<image:title>Massage and bodywork - What can I expect from a treatment? What do I need to do to prepare for it?</image:title>
<image:caption>When you arrive for your first appointment, your therapist will take a few minutes to ask you about your general health, specific conditions that may affect your treatment, and goals for your treatment. Your therapist will also answer any questions that you may have. We recommend that you schedule a 60 or 90 minute session for your first visit. Massage therapy is often performed on a massage table. You will privately undress to your level of comfort – some clients wear no clothing, some prefer to keep on undergarments or other clothing. You will be covered by a sheet at all times; your therapist will uncover only the part of your body that they are working on (i.e.: back, one leg, or one arm). Your comfort is your therapist’s main priority – please feel free to voice any concerns or preferences you may have before or during your massage. Depending on the type of treatment plan you create with your massage therapist, you may leave your appointment feeling energized, or relaxed and sleepy. It is common for clients to fall asleep during a relaxation massage. Tamara Cornehlsen practices therapeutic and peri-natal massage; her prices are here. <image:title>Potential practitioner FAQs - Potential practitioner FAQs</image:title>
<image:caption>How does working at CLINIC… work? Practitioners at CLINIC run their own business from our offices, with support (some formal, some informal) from CLINIC and fellow practitioners. You pay rent, which covers the space and time you are using, as well as all utilities (including WiFi, garbage, and sharps disposal). CLINIC is responsible for basic furnishings and decorations, toilet paper, paper towels, and tea, etc., and cleaning, upkeep, repairs, and improvements to the space. CLINIC has a centralized website, socials, email, and phone (VOIP). For shared rooms, we operate 9am- 9pm six days a week, 10am- 4pm on Sundays. Six-hour shifts are 9am- 3pm or 3- 9pm; four-hour shifts are 9am- 1pm, 1- 5pm, and 5- 9pm; eight- hour shifts are a combination of four- hour ones. In addition to rent, what else will cost me money at CLINIC? There are additional optional monthly fees for: Laundry access: allowing you to do your practice’s laundry on-site. Retail space: we charge a small additional fee if you are using space in our reception area to sell retail items. Admin and marketing fee: allows you to use our scheduling software, with its integrated payment processing. Use of this allows for us to easily refer to you, and gives you assistance with scheduling and accounting. This fee also allows you to add your presence to our newsletter (circulation of 3000, high readership rate) and our top-ranking website. What am I responsible for, as a practitioner at CLINIC? Your rent covers most of your practice’s costs and most of the headaches! You are still responsible for your practice’s: Liability insurance Licensure, certification, continuing education Professional society memberships, etc. Insurance billing costs Supplies particular to your practice (sheets, massage oils, acupuncture needles, laundry supplies, etc.) You must communicate proactively and clearly with Jen. and any other relevant practitioners. You must not overstay your shifts without explicit authorization, and you must leave the room clean and ready for the next practitioner. You must be considerate of others and come with an ‘abundant’ attitude, that a rising tide lifts all boats, and that clients’ needs come first! What is the catch? Nothing hidden or weird! No non-compete agreement— your clients are your own. You pay rent, and you are paid all the money from your clients (minus processing fees for credit cards, taken by the processor). You must agree to HIPAA protections for all clients you encounter at CLINIC. You must give 30 days’ notice of any changes that negatively impact CLINIC. Contracts are available upon request. Though you may have no lease, you are expected to stay for at least six months. Lacking that, your deposit will be retroactively applied as a start-up fee. What are the ancillary benefits of CLINIC practice? The fellowship of other talented, client-centered practitioners who are also working on building their businesses. We love to hang out, to commiserate, to edit each other’s radio ads and posters, and to build each other up! We encourage trading with other practitioners here, both to receive treatments yourself as well as to make better-informed referrals to clients. The most beautiful, centrally- but comfortably-located practice space. Street parking is almost always available right out front, and the Masonic Street lot is a block away. CLINIC is on the first floor (four steps up), with a brand- spankin’- new accessibility ramp to the rear entrance! CLINIC has a membership to the Greater Northampton Chamber of Commerce, where Jen. sat for six years on the Board of Directors, and the Downtown Northampton Association, and you can take advantage of Chamber membership specifically for your practice as well. How do I get started? A handshake gets it going! Jen. will need a list of questions answered, as well as first and last months’ rent, in order to get the ball rolling. Jen. only needs a few days to get you into our systems, under normal circumstances, though two weeks is preferred and up to six weeks is possible. Pro-rated rent is possible if you want to start right away. Covid policies We require that all practitioners be up-to-date on Covid vaccinations, and agree to abide by our Covid policies. The policies change, depending on the current state of the pandemic. We are currently not universally masking, though we may return to it periodically, as conditions warrant. We continue to clean appropriately, and wash hands diligently. We have HEPA filters and nebulizers with Vir Away essential oils in each room and the common spaces, and use fans and open windows strategically. We encourage and require cancellations if anyone feels ill and isn’t sure of their Covid status, and we ask those who are diagnosed after visiting CLINIC to let us know, so that we may contact trace and notify others who may have crossed paths with a sick person.</image:caption>

Listening with our hands the practitioner can assess the craniosacral rhythm and feel for restrictions throughout the body.</image:caption>

<image:title>Integrative Acupressure - What is Integrative Acupressure?</image:title>
<image:caption>Integrative acupressure is a powerful yet gentle healing modality that combines traditional Chinese medical theory with modern medical knowledge to provide a comprehensive container for healing. The foundation of acupressure is similar to that of acupuncture and shiatsu — the energetic meridian networks. Congestion and imbalance within a meridian causes dis-ease and stress to accumulate in the associated bodily systems. Acupressure uses finger pressure to “run” or massage along the meridian network, promoting the rebalancing of healthy flowing qi, life force energy. Integrative acupressure combines this energetic approach with a method of non-forceful musculoskeletal release. This method incorporates neurological repatterning techniques to help retain those new patterns long after the session. Coupled with this are several powerful modalities including cranial release, lymphatic release and abdominal organ release to optimize the free-flow of life force.</image:caption>

<image:title>Integrative Acupressure - What is Integrative Acupressure good for?</image:title>
<image:caption>Integrative Acupressure is beneficial for both acute and chronic health ailments. It can be particularly useful in treating: heightened nervous system stress, digestive issues, taxed kidneys and adrenal, post-chemotherapy and radiation symptoms, headache, neck pain and stiffness, nausea, anxiety, trauma, joint mis-alignment, TMJ, stagnant and swollen lymph, organ adhesions, sinus issues, autoimmune system disorders, arthritis, sleep troubles. The objective of the treatment is to bring the body into deeper relaxation, structural and energetic alignment, closer to its natural homeostatic state.</image:caption>

<image:title>Integrative Acupressure - What can I expect from a treatment or series of treatments? What do I need to do to prepare for it?</image:title>
<image:caption>Acupressure is available for people of all abilities, body-types, and many different types of ailments. Acute issues can often be addressed in just 1 or 2 sessions. The more chronic and long-term an issue is, the longer it may take to address fully. Acupressure is an extremely powerful tool for mitigating the effects of long-term stress in the body. Sessions are performed fully-clothed on a massage table. Most types of clothing are good, thinner and looser clothing is best. Before your first session begins we will discuss your symptoms and goals for treatment. As appropriate, you will be on your belly for part of the session and on your back for part. Acupressure sessions can be profoundly healing and deeply emotional. During the session your job is just to relax deeply. I will assist you, as needed, to recognize what is arising physically and emotionally, and to stay present with your body's experience. Will Stamell offers Integrative Acupressure sessions at CLINIC Mondays 3- 9pm, Tuesdays 9am- 3pm, and Sundays 10am- 4pm.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Chair massage is performed in a specially designed chair with your clothes on. No oil or lotion is applied. It is focused on the back, shoulders, neck, arms, and head. It is designed to relax the muscles and improve flexibility and circulation.</image:caption>

<image:title>Chair massage - Who can benefit from chair massage?</image:title>
<image:caption>Chair massage is perfectly suited for a workday break from long hours in-front of a screen, typing, standing or driving. The shorter duration is easier to fit into your day between meetings or errands and still provides many of the benefits of a full massage. A chair massage can help spark creativity, reduce pain, anxiety, tension and stress, boost immunity, prevent or alleviate repetitive stress injuries such as carpal tunnel syndrome, and improve sleep. Chair massage is great for clients who prefer not to undress or have sensitivities to oils and creams. It is also well suited to clients who cannot lie down for a massage due to medical conditions.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Your session will begin with a quick review of your intake form and goals for your customized treatment. You will be ergonomically seated in a specialized adjustable massage chair, with your face resting in a cradle. Your face will be looking down towards the ground, while your arms rest on a special shelf. Your therapist will use a mix of compression, kneading, acupressure, percussion, joint mobilization, and stretches while you relax in a fully supported position. Rebeca Torres- Rose offers therapeutic massage, chair massage, Thai massage, and Sarga bodywork at CLINIC Wednesdays 12:30- 6pm and Thursdays 10am- 7pm.</image:caption>

<image:title>Thai massage - What is Thai massage?</image:title>
<image:caption>Traditional Thai Massage is performed with the client fully dressed in loose comfortable clothing and uses compression, gentle traction, rocking, stretches and therapist assisted movement to achieve deep relaxation as well as improved flexibility, circulation, and energy flow for total mind-body balance. Thai Massage is one of the three branches of Traditional Thai Medicine and has roots in Theravada Buddhism, indigenous Thai healing practices, Chinese Medicine, and Ayurveda. It combines rocking, compression, passive stretching, traction and movement of the joints to remove blockages along energy lines called sen in Thai. At the heart of each session is a foundation of loving-kindness or goodwill (metta in Pali). The whole treatment is a graceful, nurturing, moving meditation.</image:caption>

<image:title>Thai massage - Who can benefit from Thai massage?</image:title>
<image:caption>Thai massage is deeply relaxing. It can relieve muscular tension, improve flexibility, and promote the free flow of energy for an overall feeling of well being. Sessions can be focused on achieving a relaxed state of mind-body balance or address a specific physical concern. Many clients report feeling greater ease when breathing and a general sense of openness after a treatment. Thai massage is great for clients who prefer not to undress or have sensitivities to oils and creams.</image:caption>

<image:title>Thai massage - What can I expect from a treatment or a series of sessions? What do I need to do to prepare for it?</image:title>
<image:caption>Your session will begin with a thorough intake to assess your current needs and any precautions or modifications that might be appropriate. The session is performed with the client fully clothed in loose or stretchy clothing which allows for movement (e.g. sweats or leggings and a t-shirt). No oil or lotion is applied to the skin. Traditionally Thai massage is performed on the floor on a mat with the support of pillows and bolsters as needed. Bodywork might be done with the client laying face-down, face-up or on their side. If getting down on the floor presents an access barrier, sessions can be modified to be performed on a massage table. The therapist uses hands, forearms, elbows, knees and feet to apply pressure and at times uses their body as a fulcrum or support for the client’s body in different positions. Rebeca Torres- Rose offers therapeutic massage, chair massage, Thai massage, and Sarga bodywork at CLINIC Wednesdays 12:30- 6pm and Thursdays 10am- 7pm.</image:caption>

<image:title>Astrology - What is Astrology?</image:title>
<image:caption>Astrology has been around for thousands of years, originating in Mesopotamia, and up until the 17th century, it was studied and practiced around the world. It was often used as an important part of decision-making and guidance in life, both for personal matters as well as the governing of groups. It adheres to the adage, As above, so below, with the understanding that we are truly made of stars. This idea precedes modern science in the West, which became reductionist and materialistic, with the strong influence of thinkers like Darwin and Newton. However, scientists today are beginning to embrace this concept again, thanks to quantum physics and astro-physics, amongst other growing areas of study. Astrology is the study of patterns in human beings, both individually and collectively, that mirror the archetypal qualities of the planets in the sky - from our Sun and Moon, to the far reaches of Neptune and Pluto.</image:caption>

<image:title>Astrology - Why would someone get an astrology reading?</image:title>
<image:caption>Many people will seek out an astrologer for a few reasons: either to get an in-depth reading of their natal chart - the map of the sky at the exact time and location of one’s birth, which offers much insight into the workings of the individual psyche, both the gifts and the challenges; or with a specific question in mind, concerning events, experiences, in one’s life, past, present or future, or a part of themselves they wish to understand more. Carl Jung is known to have said, “psychology will be a dinosaur science until it includes astrology,” and he used astrological charts in his own sessions with clients. There are also many astrologers who offer ‘forecasts’ geared more towards the collective energies at play in the world, and how this is apt to affect groups of people and countries, as well as the planet. Much can be learned by observing the cyclical nature of the celestial patterns in the sky, and applying them to the patterns of our evolving civilizations.</image:caption>

<image:title>Astrology - What can I expect from a session? What do I need to do to prepare for it?</image:title>
<image:caption>What kind of astrology sessions are offered at CLINIC? An introductory astro dive is offered, which includes a shorter, 30 minute session, giving you a little taste of what a full natal chart reading might offer. The natal birth chart reading is a more in-depth, 75 minute exploration of your birth chart, including a discussion of the strongest planetary signatures in the sky at the time of your birth, and what that means in terms of your character, your life lessons, both the gifts and the challenges. Current happenings in the sky that might affect you personally are also explored. A returning astrology reading is also available for those who have already had a natal reading at CLINIC, and this provides an opportunity to explore a specific question or life area that you are seeking some help with, another perspective, and a way to work with the energies at play. For the astrology aficionados and spiritual seekers, a seasonal astrology package is offered, offering a special of four sessions a year. This will allow you the chance to check in seasonally with your astrologer, and get your own ‘astrological forecast’ for the season, and how the current happenings are apt to affect you personally. With all of these services, an exact birth time is recommended, though not required. Appointments can occur in person at CLINIC Alternative Medicines, or online over Zoom. Online sessions will be recorded, and the recording sent to you afterwards. You are welcome and encouraged to record any in person sessions, for future replay. It can be a lot to digest at one time! Please contact Rachel directly to book. Email is best! Rachel Condon now offers astrology readings in person at CLINIC on Monday 9am- 1pm, and online over Zoom on Fridays (and occasional Sundays). Contact Rachel directly to book an astrology reading. Rachel works at CLINIC doing community acupuncture on Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday 1- 5pm, and private sessions on Wednesday 9am- 3pm and Saturday 9am- 1pm.</image:caption>

<image:title>Hypnotherapy - What is Hypnotherapy?</image:title>
<image:caption>Asking the question, “What do you want to begin to change today?” is how hypnotherapy sessions begin. Hypnotherapy is an evidence-based process that helps you tap into your inner resources and work with your unconscious mind to foster self-trust and promote rapid healing. It can include a range of modalities—such as relaxation techniques, breathwork, visualization, and tools from psychology and neuroscience. Because the unconscious mind continuously shapes how we perceive the world, transformation happens more easily when we learn how to work with it and our inner wisdom.</image:caption>

<image:title>Hypnotherapy - What is Hypnotherapy good for?</image:title>
<image:caption>Hypnotherapy does not diagnose or treat medical conditions, but it is a powerful tool for changing habits. These include how we think, react, ruminate, hold tension or pain in the body, and the limiting beliefs we may operate from. Hypnotherapy can also be helpful for managing chronic or acute pain and for preparation for surgery or healing afterwards. Hypnotherapy can support: Women experiencing burnout, pelvic pain, or symptoms of perimenopause or menopause Caregivers and caregiving professionals seeking grounding and resilience People who feel stuck or overwhelmed Those suffering from phobias who are looking for fast relief People dealing with addictive behaviors Weight loss Smoking cessation Career challenges and work stressors Children and teens often respond especially well to hypnosis. It can help address: Anxiety and phobias Attention and focus challenges Bed-wetting Fixations and obsessive behaviors Habits like nail biting, hair pulling/chewing, or thumb sucking Sibling conflict Sleep issues such as nightmares, insomnia, or trouble falling asleep Stomachaches and migraines Sports or performance anxiety</image:caption>

<image:title>Hypnotherapy - What can I expect from a session or a series of sessions? What do I need to do to prepare for it?</image:title>
<image:caption>Start by scheduling a free 15-minute phone consultation to explore whether hypnotherapy is a good fit for you. No other special preparation is needed—just bring curiosity. Sessions begin with a conversation about the changes you want to make and the benefits those changes will bring. From there, we use deep relaxation and hypnosis techniques to help you access your unconscious mind and begin shifting patterns. Before you leave, you’ll learn simple tools to support continued change. Sessions for children look a little different. These sessions begin by building trust through playful interaction, which is also a powerful tool for change. Since children’s unconscious minds are closely tied to their imaginations, they often respond quickly to hypnosis. Sessions for children under age 7 can be shorter and can be very effective. Caregivers may be as involved as feels appropriate for all parties. Most clients of all ages benefit from 3–8 sessions. Practicing the tools you learned for just five minutes a day can significantly enhance results. Talia Miller offers hypnotherapy at CLINIC Saturdays 9am- 1pm and Sundays 1- 5pm.</image:caption>

<image:title>Manual Lymphatic Drainage - What is Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)?</image:title>
<image:caption>Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a gentle technique developed by Emile & Estrid Vodder to enhance and maintain a healthy lymphatic system. MLD improves lymph flow, whereas massage focuses on muscles. Lymph helps to filter out toxins from the blood and transport them to the liver & kidneys, which then eliminates the waste. Blood is pumped by the heart but lymph relies on surrounding muscle tissue to propel the fluid through the body. MLD acts as an external pump to help move lymph through the body.</image:caption>

<image:title>Manual Lymphatic Drainage - When is MLD called for?</image:title>
<image:caption>MLD improves the overall wellbeing of the body. Anyone who wants to enhance their immune system may benefit from a session. Several conditions where MLD is recommended as part of a routine include: sinus issues, Bell’s palsy, Lyme disease, long or post Covid, fibromyalgia, neuropathy, joint replacements and chronic pain. It also decreases swelling and increases healing time after injury or surgery.</image:caption>

<image:title>Manual Lymphatic Drainage - What can I expect from an MLD appointment? What do I need to do to prepare for it?</image:title>
<image:caption>If you have a condition that involves any of the major organs, you may not be a good candidate for MLD because your body may not be able to handle the increased lymph load. Please consult your physician if you have any concerns. If you have swollen glands or an active infection, you should reschedule your appointment. During treatment, you do NOT need to undress. However, please be sure to wear comfortable clothing. You should drink plenty of water (16oz.) before and after treatment. Darlene Labine offers Manual Lymphatic Drainage at CLINIC Wednesdays and Thursdays 3- 9pm, and Fridays and Saturdays 9am- 3pm.</image:caption>

<image:title>Tarot - What is Tarot?</image:title>
<image:caption>Tarot is a symbolic language of images, numbers, and archetypes that offers a mirror to your inner world. While it is often thought of as a tool for prediction, many contemporary practitioners use Tarot as a way to explore the present moment with greater clarity, compassion, and depth. Each card is like a folktale in a universal story—depicting challenges, transformations, joys, and cycles that all human beings experience. A Tarot reading is less about “telling the future” and more about opening a dialogue between your conscious and subconscious mind. The imagery in the cards can evoke memories, spark insights, and help you notice connections or patterns that might otherwise remain hidden. By working with both intuition and reflection, Tarot offers a bridge between logic and imagination—helping you access perspectives that support healing, creativity, and empowered decision-making. The practice has roots in centuries-old European card traditions but has evolved into a versatile, contemporary tool for personal growth. Today, Tarot is embraced by artists, healers, and seekers worldwide for its ability to illuminate the subtler layers of experience—offering not just answers, but deeper, more meaningful questions. In this way, Tarot is less about fate and more about possibility. It helps you see where you are, understand how you got there, and envision the paths that may lie ahead, so you can step forward with intention and self-trust.</image:caption>

<image:title>Tarot - What is Tarot good for?</image:title>
<image:caption>Tarot readings are powerful tools for finding clarity in the moment—especially when we’re facing uncertainty or difficult choices. They help us reconnect with our own intuition and often reveal that the answers we seek are already within us, even if we can't quite access them yet. A tarot reading can be a bridge between the seen and unseen, a way to connect with the mysteries that surround us and discover they’re more accessible than we might think. It’s not about prediction—it’s about perspective. Most importantly, tarot is a practice for healing. It helps us feel seen, heard, and supported by something larger than ourselves.</image:caption>

<image:title>Tarot - What can I expect from a session or a series of sessions? What do I need to do to prepare for it?</image:title>
<image:caption>Each reading begins with time to ground and check in—what’s going on right now, and what’s really at the heart of it? Together, we’ll talk through what’s present and shape questions that are clear, focused, and designed to lead to useful insight. Once the cards are laid out, we take time to take them in. We notice first reactions—somatic, emotional, intellectual—and begin to explore what the images and patterns might be revealing. I’ll guide you through what the cards traditionally mean, how they relate to each other, and how they might speak directly to you and your situation. There’s space for discussion, reflection, and connection. The session ends by gathering what’s been revealed and making sure you leave with clarity, a sense of direction, and something practical you can take with you. <image:title>Reflexology - What is Reflexology?</image:title>
<image:caption>Reflexology is a non-invasive, integrative wellness modality based on the principle that specific reflex points and zones on the feet, hands, face, and ears correspond to organs, systems, and structures of the body. Through the application of focused, intentional pressure, reflexology is used to support relaxation, nervous system regulation, and homeostasis. Within an integrative care model, reflexology is often utilized to support the parasympathetic nervous system, encouraging a shift away from patterned stress responses. By promoting a state of calm and safety, reflexology may help reduce physiologic stress and support the body’s inherent capacity for restoration and balance. Reflexology is not diagnostic and does not treat disease. Reflexology does not involve joint manipulation or musculoskeletal adjustment and is distinct from massage therapy, physical therapy, or chiropractic care.</image:caption>

<image:title>Reflexology - What can I expect from a session? What do I need to do to prepare for it?</image:title>
<image:caption>Reflexology sessions are conducted with the client fully clothed, typically in a seated or reclined position. Treatment most often focuses on the feet, with optional inclusion of the hands, face, or ears. Pressure is applied using structured techniques and is adjusted to ensure comfort and safety. Sessions emphasize nervous system support and relaxation. Clients may experience a sense of calm, improved sleep, reduced muscle tension, or enhanced overall well-being. Responses vary by individual, and benefits are often subtle and cumulative over time. With the potential addition of various energy practices and vibrational sound healing techniques, the improvement in energy balance, circulation, and the body’s innate healing processes may be enhanced. Discussion and application of these additional techniques will be provided based on permission between client and practitioner. Wearing comfortable, loose clothing such as leggings or thin sweat pants is recommended. Preparation for each session will begin with setting of intentions for that day, week, or month. If choosing a multi-session package, you are encouraged to choose a broader overall intention that can be built upon over the time frame selected. Leslie Kelly offers reflexology at CLINIC Mondays 9am- 3pm and Wednesdays 9am- 1pm.</image:caption>
